Intrasole – The foundation for performance™
Intra-sole™ is a patented bio mechanically engineered breakthrough in footwear technology that provides unmatched stability to enhance athletic performance. Designed for all footwear applications, Intra-sole™ can be built-in to any type of shoe, boot or sandal including ski and snow board boots or flip flops. Developed for the active lifestyle, Intra-sole’s stabilization features improve athletic performance while strengthening the muscles of the foot and enhancing overall foot health.
Innovation Village is currently offering this technology for license to shoe companies in all categories.
Intra is the Latin word for within – Intra-sole™ is the technology “within” the sole of the shoe that creates the foundation for improved performance for athletic, fitness and outdoor activities.
Intra-sole™ Technology is a Medial / Lateral Counter Foot Stabilizer system. When the technology is built into the shoe, it provides arch support and heel alignment.
- Intra-sole™ supports all three arches of the foot – medial, lateral and metatarsal.
- Improves balance and posture
- Helps guide the foot into its anatomically correct walking position
- Alleviates stress from the rest of the body; feet, legs, knees, hips & lower back
- Ensures proper support and even distribution of weight
- Can be integrated into the manufacturing process easily
- Provides energy return
Intra-sole™ is designed to be a mirror image of the arch contours in the foot to support the medial and lateral longitudinal arches, as well as the transverse metatarsal arch, giving total support to the feet as well as controlling rotation of the calcaneus. This combination of control and support in conjunction with being an intricate part of the shoe keeps the foot in its most neutral position throughout the gait cycle and while standing. This allows the rest of the skeletal system that relies on the feet for proper alignment to remain in its most neutral position, thus correcting problems caused by overpronation or supination and aiding in prevention of foot related injuries. |
